Mad Maxx™ Intelligent Security

Much in the way the stoplight system was developed to bring structure and order to the traffic system, the Mad Maxx™ Intelligent Security (MMIS) unit is designed to bring order to manage crowds in time of civil disturbances. As a protester begins to advance past the established perimeter thresholds, the warning system displays both auditory and visual cues announcing an escalation in response. These responses include a mild to strong deafening sound gun, striking lights, discomforting gas release, and eventually, lethal force. This way, civilians are notified of when and where they can be within the confines of the law and provides advance warning to correct undesirable behavior to minimize the need for a physical response. MMIS units also have four 360-degree cameras installed with remote and local recording capability.

The result of simulations studies at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) show that the MMIS technology will stop up to 15,000 lbs of vehicular terrorism and car/truck bombings. The Mad Maxx™ Security Barrier System can be substituted for bollards. When built, the MMIS technology potentially has a penetration rating of P1 rating rather than the P4 rating for a bollard. This would provide far greater anti-ram protection for the customer. Vehicle attacks are increasing both domestically and internationally because they can target large crowds and require minimal capabilities to effectuate devastating casualties. The ASPS technology protects life or property in situations where there is increased risk for vehicular ramming attacks, provide almost 23 cubic feet of protection from gunfire in mass shooting events, and controls crowd in riots and civil disorder.

The SWAT team of the Twin Falls County Sherriff’s Office in Idaho conducted a field test of the 3.5 ton MMIS unit by shooting numerous rounds of various calibers. From 20 yards away, some 786 rounds, consisting of 660 rounds of .223 cal; 56 rounds of 9 mm; 70 rounds of .308 cal to evaluate the effective protection. Post assault evaluation revealed that no bullet shot penetrated as much as 50% of the unit. Both the Sherriff and the Deputy Chief of the station confirmed that has a subject been positioned behind the barrier, he or she would not have suffered injuries due to the penetration of the MMIS unit.

From ballistic resistance, to anti-ram capabilities, to blast mitigation, it is clear that the MMIS unit meets or exceeds expectations with respect to all capabilities sought. In addition to these qualities, our unit provides temporary or permanent solutions for crowd control in times of civil unrest that will protect civilians, law enforcement, and democracy as a whole. This barrier is both strong and aesthetic, providing a unique, customizable finish intended to complement its surroundings. This unit will not only provide protection for domestic and overseas facilities from physical and explosive related attacks, but it will promote a safer, more civilized society that protects American interests.

Safety is our patriotic duty.

Temporary or permanent, the Mad Maxx™ Intelligent Security system serves as a reminder of the established rights of both protesters and law enforcement, all while providing physical security from any outside threat. The proper use of the MMIS units will result in reduced damage, destruction, and the unnecessary loss of human life.
